The Consuming Fire

This book took me a little while to get into, but once I did I was all in.

I thoroughly enjoy the main characters (Cardenia / Grayland II, Marce, Kiva – especially Kiva, whose profanity is delightful) and I’m curious about what comes next in the series.

I read, and enjoyed, John Scalzi’s Old Man’s War series, but that was more of a collection of stories with some of the same characters rather than a multi-part story connected across a number of novels. The Interdependency series is serialized, and the format suits Scalzi.
