The Rise of Skywalker: Extended Edition (audiobook)
Posted on by Mac Slocum
I listened to this because reviews noted that it addressed some of the story holes in “Rise of Skywalker.” Those holes bothered me.
Here are things I learned in the book that I would have preferred to have learned in the movie:
-
Palpatine was definitely in a clone body.
-
Finn is Force sensitive and Jannah might be, too.
-
Zorii Bliss and Babu Frik actually worked to get off of Kijimi before it blew up (they didn’t miraculously appear at the end … there were steps they took to get away).
-
Rey’s dad was a “strandcast” (genetic hybrid clone thing) built for Palpatine, but he turned out to be a decent guy so Palpy hated him … yet allowed him to live and find a mate and eventually become Rey’s father.
-
There was going to be a lot more Leia stuff in the movie if Carrie Fisher hadn’t died.
I am happy to have these gaps filled.
