This is the second book in John Scalzi’s Lock In series. It’s fun, but it’s not as good as the original Lock In.
Not that it’s bad. Rather, it’s just that it gets a bit convoluted and it can be hard to follow which nefarious person is doing which nefarious deed to whom.
That said, it surprises me that Scalzi’s stuff hasn’t been adapted into TV shows and movies. His dialogue is fantastic and I could see his stories translating well to screens.
